Growing up, my grandmother was the Matriarch of our family who was also the neighborhood Hair Stylist. Not only was she a hair stylist, but she also was the neighborhood “candy lady” and she also worked as a maid for wealthy families. We were very close, nearly joined at the hip.
When I was five years old, she would take me with her to her cleaning appointments. And when she wasn’t cleaning, she was doing hair. I was always fascinated with learning about hair, its genetic makeup, how it grows, and how to keep it healthy.
Fast forward, years later, after having a beautiful family of my own – my daughter and I faced devastating hair loss due to alopecia. Her hair loss was so severe, she lost nearly hair along her crown and sides of her hair. I searched and combed through literature, watched video’s, studied clinical casework to educate myself on how to overcome it. I felt the urging to create the first Root Strengthening Hair Growth products. It was also as if, my lovely grandmother was right there with me, cheering me on to develop this unique formula.
